CONMIX opens new Ready Mix Concrete plant in Abu Dhabi
Expansion aligns with UAE’s urban development and national growth vision
ABU DHABI: CONMIX, a key player in concrete manufacturing and a subsidiary of Bukhatir Industrial Group, has launched its newest Ready Mix Concrete facility in Abu Dhabi’s Al Mafraq Industrial Area.
This plant is the fifth of its kind for CONMIX across the UAE, joining operations in Sharjah, Ajman, Dubai (Al Quoz and Dubai Industrial Park), and Ras Al Khaimah.
The launch highlights a strategic push to reinforce the company’s reach and capabilities in the construction and infrastructure sectors across the nation.
Senior leaders attended the opening ceremony, including Sheikh Salah Bukhatir, Chairman of Bukhatir Group; board members; Ayman Ahmed, CEO of Bukhatir Industrial Investment; and Tim Senior, General Manager of CONMIX. Executives and members of the team who led the project were also present.
New CONMIX facility
Speaking at the inauguration, Sheikh Salah Bukhatir explained the broader importance of the new facility. He stated that it goes beyond business expansion and reflects Bukhatir Group’s long-term vision to support national infrastructure goals.
“For over five decades, Bukhatir Group has stood as a cornerstone of national progress. Our focus remains on diversification, sustainability and long-term value creation across education, sports, industry, and construction. CONMIX has always played a crucial role in that mission,” he said.
He added that the new plant marks a reaffirmation of the Group’s commitment to contributing meaningfully to the UAE’s development journey.
How has CONMIX contributed to UAE’s modern landscape?
Ayman Ahmed, CEO of Bukhatir Industrial Investment, highlighted CONMIX’s historical impact. “Since 1975, CONMIX has helped shape the country’s modern landscape. Its concrete solutions have supported many of the UAE’s iconic infrastructure and construction achievements,” he noted.
The company has remained at the forefront of the sector, consistently aligning with the evolving needs of urban and industrial development.
What makes the new facility stand out?
Located in Abu Dhabi’s core industrial zone, the new plant is designed for performance on large-scale, time-sensitive projects. It includes German-engineered batching systems to ensure precise mixes, a logistics network focused on efficiency, and a highly skilled team able to meet demanding project timelines.
With a production capacity of over 500,000 cubic metres annually, the facility is set to support many of the UAE’s current and upcoming development initiatives.
Tim Senior, General Manager of CONMIX, said the launch continues a legacy of innovation and reliability. “At CONMIX, we offer more than just Ready Mix Concrete. Our expertise extends to Pre Mix Plaster, Construction Chemicals and Paints,” he said.
He added that the company’s growing footprint now includes 13 facilities across the UAE, with five dedicated to Ready Mix operations. “This launch demonstrates our technical strength and our alignment with the UAE’s vision for sustainable growth.”
